Premier High School – Granbury (Class of 2017)

Following Logan’s high school graduation last spring, he decided to skip his summer break, move up north and get straight to work on his degree. Logan is studying aviation management at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology online while working full time at an airport modifying passenger aircrafts into medical ambulances. “I wouldn’t have imagined myself at 20 working in a career this soon,” says Logan. “ None of this wouldn’t have been possible without Mrs. Grissom, Mrs. White, and everyone else who helped push me along.”

Logan attended Premier High School (PHS) for the last two years of high school and says that he liked the personal interaction he was able to get with staff. “My best experience at Premier was having a place to belong.” Logan continues, “I really enjoyed the size of the classrooms and the ability to graduate a year early.”

Logan says that Campus Director Marsha Grissom and Teacher Gayle White encouraged him to pursue his career choice. Mrs. White helped pique Logan’s interest in aviation in her own aircraft at the Annual Fly-in at the Pecan Plantation Airpark last year. He pays it forward by speaking to classes about aviation and the demand for youth to join in the industry whenever he gets to visit his hometown of Granbury.

Outside of his coursework and job, Logan is pursuing a private pilot’s license. In the little free time he has, he enjoys giving back to his community. He volunteers at a local animal shelter and gets vehicles back up and running for drivers who would otherwise be unable to afford the repairs.

“I keep in my head that each day is a blessing and to take full advantage of the opportunities, even the hidden door ones like aviation.” Logan goes on to say that he likes to remind himself he’s “here for a good time, not a long time.”
