Premier High School of Del Rio is moving its campus closer into town for the 2015-2016 school year. Formerly located at 4300 Highway 90 East, the school will start fall classes at the former San Felipe country club at 1530 Highway 90 in Del Rio.
Campus director of Premier High School of Del Rio, Carol Mireles said students have had difficulty in the past getting to the previous location. Now that Premier High School is closer, it should lessen transportation difficulties.
“What is important to me is making sure we have a place for our kids. The focus of Premier High School has always been helping our students graduate, whether they are looking for credit recovery or early graduation. I want every one of them to have a place to learn, and sometimes that means being flexible about where we hold classes,” said Ms. Mireles.
Anthony Edwards, Responsive Education Solutions’ (ResponsiveEd®) executive director of school operations for Premier High School, said that leasing temporary while looking for permanent locations allows ResponsiveEd the opportunity to verify the community demand and time to ensure they best meet that need.
“At ResponsiveEd, our focus is on creating high quality sustainable schools,” said Mr. Edwards.
Premier High School, first launched by ResponsiveEd in 1999, is a credit recovery school dedicated to helping students who need a different high school experience earn their high school diploma.
