Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound, a ResponsiveEd® charter school, will open the doors of its new campus for the 2018-2019 year at the corner of Cross Timbers Road and Flower Mound Road in Flower Mound. The official groundbreaking to commemorate the new facility took place on the future site at 11 a.m. Monday, November 27.
“This new building will accommodate more grade levels and more students at each level allowing more families to pursue our school as a choice for their child’s education,” said Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound Headmaster Sam Vanderplas. “It’s what we will be doing inside this new facility that is most important, providing a classical academic environment with a focus on moral education.”
Close to 100 local residents, parents, school officials and district administrators joined in the celebration as the first shovels of dirt were turned to signify the beginning of construction for the school. The new 42,000 square foot facility will be built on 19 acres, house kindergarten through eighth grade next year and eventually more than 850 students in grades K-12 after the addition of a high school building on the same site.
