Throughout the school year, teachers and staff have nominated the students who go above and beyond to be featured in the ResponsiveEd Reflections Student Spotlight and on social media.<\/p>\n

Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy senior, Emmie Carroll, says she’ll miss the “opportunity to interact and lead the younger grades, such as the cheer clinic I led for grades K-5. ” Emmie will be attending John Brown University (JBU)<\/a> and plans to major in Nursing, with an emphasis in pediatrics and looks forward to being on the JBU cheer team. We are so proud of Emmie and her accomplishments!<\/p>\n

Billy Mendoza –\u00a0<\/strong>Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Billy Mendoza<\/p><\/div>\n

Billy Mendoza has been at\u00a0Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy\u00a0since its founding. He’s participated in the National Honor Society and the\u00a0Chick-fil-A\u00a0Leadership Academy<\/a>. Due to his extraordinary leadership qualities, he’s one of 300 students receiving the prestigious Arkansas Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship<\/a>. This fall, Billy is attending the\u00a0University of Arkansas<\/a>\u00a0and is interested in “exploring the theories that challenge the current staples of modern science.” Congratulations, Billy!<\/p>\n

Jorge Martinez – <\/strong>Premier High School – Brownsville<\/em><\/a>\u00a0Alumni<\/em><\/p>\n

Jorge Martinez<\/p><\/div>\n

Jorge Martinez graduated from Premier High School – Brownsville in 2017. He is currently employed as a general manager of several restaurants for a national restaurant chain. “Some of the traits that are required in my line of work are organization, time management, customer service, communication and team building skills. I attribute Premier High School of Brownsville with equipping me with the business knowledge and skills through their career preparation program,” said Jorge.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, April 28th, two Premier High School – Little Rock<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>seniors, Jawad Watkins and Jasmine Watkins were recognized at the annual Arkansas Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day. This event recognizes Arkansas\u2019 best and brightest students from public and private schools who best represent academic achievement in the senior class.<\/p>\n

Caden Sanborn and Bethany Perez have earned their associates of arts before their high school diploma. Both attend iSchool High of The Woodlands<\/a>, which has a partnership with Lone Star College-Montgomery<\/a> where students can receive college credit for free with all tuition and fees waived.
