As a military child, seventh grader Sarah Abbey<\/a> moved frequently. Eighth grader Grant Knoche<\/a> performed across the country as a member of Kidz Bop. Needing more time, fourth grader Jacob Wallace<\/a> fell behind in school. Senior in high school, Maryam Ahmed<\/a> walked the streets of Dallas with her camera trying to capture the story of homelessness. Flexibility is what these students were looking for in their education, and they found it in ResponsiveEd\u2019s iSchool Virtual Academy of Texas<\/a> (iSVA).<\/p>\n

Across the state of Texas, students log on to their computers to attend school. Free of cost, schools supplies ranging from computers and textbooks to science supplies are mailed to the family\u2019s doorstep before the start of the school year. State-certified teachers provide instruction and support through online classrooms. While held to the same standards as traditional public school students, families enrolled in iSVA have flexibility in location and schedule.<\/p>\n
